Contemporary dance for kids

Contemporary dance   is a modern expressive dance that has been compared to modern dance and ballet due to its technical similarities. This form of dance often features unpredictable changes in rhythm, speed and direction.

Contemporary dance is very unpredictable and quite different from other dances. For example, it uses elements from African dance. The goal of contemporary was to find the effortlessness of movement by using the natural lines of the body and its energy.
 

This "fluidity" of movement completely differentiated contemporary dance from traditional dance styles. Nowadays contemporary dance is based on the personality of the individual teacher or choreographer.
